During your holidays whilst at the camp Les Castels, make the most of the opportunity to attend this major sporting event ! The Grand Depart will take place on July 1st in Düsseldorf, Germany and then continue through Liège in Belgium then Luxembourg before arriving at Longwy in France.

You can choose the stages of the race in the mountains: La Mure, Derre-Chevalier, Briançon, or the stages further south such as Salon-de-Provence.

The Tour de France is not only a unique bicycle race, it is also a live show which is known for its exhilarating atmosphere ! Every year, 15 million people  attend the Tour gathered along the sides of the French roadways. It is necessary to be patient, to have plenty of sunscreen and a picnic ! Entertainment is organised whilst you are waiting, there are famous caps to be won as well as other prizes. As for the cyclists, you will only see them for a few minutes, so be alert ! The organisation of the Tour de France is amazing, helicopters follow the route offering  aerial  vision, which  of course is completely different from the one that you will see by the roadside. Indeed, the Tour is broadcast on 78 television channels throughout 170 countries throughout the world, more than 2000 journalists are invited to follow the event, giving all in all, 2 billion listeners, and televiewers around the world.
