Here is a simple festive recipe to make from the coast of Brittany, Carnac to be more exact !

The Castel de la Grande Métairie reveals  one of their favourite recipes. 

 Ingredients for 1 person 

  •  5 large prawns 
  • ½ shallot 
  • 1 clove of garlic 
  • 1 small tomato 
  • 1 soup spoon of olive oil 
  • 40 ml of Cognac 
  • 200 ml of cream 
  • Salt and pepper 

 Peel the shallot and chop half. Peel the garlic, remove  the centre and discard and crush the remainder.

 Peel the tomato, cut in half and deseed, dice the remaining flesh. 

 In a frying pan heat the oil over a brisk heat, brown the prawns quickly on both sides till golden. Add  garlic and  shallots, reduce heat for a minute. Gently increase the heat and flambe with cognac. Add  cream, the diced  tomato and season. 

 Allow to cook over a low heat 6 to 7 minutes. You can accompany this dish with  rice!
